Sydney has a distinctive torrential rain where the road becomes flooded within moments. The road that dominates this urban landscapes becomes an abstract mirror reflecting the cars image.
The emphasis of Nicola Moir’s (b.1979) work is on those familiar ‘in-between’ spaces, capturing the everyday detail of how we know, move through, and imprint our values on the city. These are the forgotton spaces we inhabit between work, home and leisure. They are the spaces where we come together as a community.
What an unusual composition. I love the faded look at the bottom and the drips. It's very lovely and elegant.
